A cracking renewal of this Grade 3 handicap. The 2017 winner Go Conquer was third last year, just ahead of Adrien Du Pont in the race won by the Gary Moore-trained Traffic Fluide. Larry looks a similar type for the yard this time and is worth a market check. Black Corton and Bryony Frost are a formidable partnership and the pair had Cobra De Mai back in fourth when winning a Grade 2 at Sandown in April. A brave second in the Galway Plate over the summer, the top weight should run his race again. Regal Encore was well beaten at Galway and again at Chepstow last month but this is his track and it would be no surprise to see him run well off a lowly mark. Vinndication is 2-2 here but there is a doubt about his stamina over this trip. Mister Malarky has been raised 3lb since his second at Aintree in April but is capable of better this year and On The Blind Side is even less exposed over the larger obstacles. Ami Desbois is often placed but doesn’t win as often as he should. WALK IN THE MILL ran very well in two races over track and trip last year and has been given plenty of time to recover from a fine run in the Grand National when 2lb higher - Robert Walford’s stayer can figure in this. Relentless Dreamer has fitness on his side and is another with decent claims.
