took keen hold, held up in 4th, pushed along and dropped to 5th over 3f out, ridden 2f out, soon weakened
led, pushed along over 2f out, ridden and headed over 1f out, stayed on same pace, no chance with winner
tracked leader, upsides 2f out, ridden to lead over 1f out, clear inside final furlong, stayed on well
tracked leading pair, pushed along and unable to quicken 2f out, kept on same pace in 3rd
held up 5th, closer in 4th over 3f out, ridden and no impression over 1f out, kept on same pace and no chance with leading trio final furlong
All of these have something to prove in pattern company but PIN UP won a decent handicap over today's trip at Haydock last time. Richard Fahey's filly has not finished improving yet on that evidence and is taken to confirm running with the front-runner Secateur. The latter should do better if it remains good going and is preferred to stablemate Mill Springs, who was well beaten in the Park Hill at Doncaster last time. Sagaciously is not without ability but not the most reliable and the lightly-raced Le Rock has plenty to find on these terms.
