ANDREW NICK can defy topweight this afternoon but he'll face strong opposition from Master Somerville and Glingerbank. Nigel Twiston-Davies' record in the top handicaps this term has spoken for itself and while Andrew Nick has gone up the weights for his consistency, he may have been unfortunate to have encountered a resurgent Skippers Brig at Carlisle. Master Somerville should have come on for his most recent run at Stratford. The ground was probably a little lively on balance and he can give a much truer running here. Glingerbank is an adaptable sort who can show his form over a wide range of distances. Fast enough to win over two miles, he has shown form over further although today's trip is something of a leap in the dark. Quarry Town disappointed short price backers at Stratford during the summer. This was all the more disappointing as he had dotted up over course-and-distance previously. Antonius Caesar has claims if the going comes up sticky. A scenario that would equally suit Something Silver. Heather Dalton had a winner the other day so it would be folly to discount Go West. A proven stayer, he looked badly in need of the run at Exeter on his first start of the season. Darina's Boy is the only course-and-distance winner in the field and must be respected as such. Andrew Nick gets the call.
