Verdict

Most of these are unknown quantities and many are from small yards. Alan King’s Kootenay River is an exception but he was beaten by Billygwyn Too at Exeter and is no better off. Matts Commission has been making hay between the flags but Fergal O’Brien’s RISKY GOLD was second to Kempton bumper winner Danny Kirwan at Lisronagh in October and won a maiden open last month. He gets a tentative vote, though Rogue Diamond is a half-brother to a hurdles winner and won by nine lengths at Barbury on his points debut. Equus Pandora won over 2m at Hereford and Mickey Bowen’s charge may be best of the rest.
