Verdict
SHAKEM UP’ARRY finished behind Midnight River and Nassalam in a premier handicap at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day but improved on that when third in the Magners Plate at The Festival last month and he gives the impression he’ll stay this longer trip. Coconut Splash is still a maiden over fences but has only failed to make the frame once in nine attempts and has place claims again. Gold Cup Bailly reverts to handicap company after running in a Grade 3 last time but the mare Kapga De Lily may still be a few pounds too high. Beauport and Karl Philippe are both better than they showed last time but Eldorado Allen has become disappointing.
