QUELL THE STORM looks to have really strong claims on this novice hurdle and as such is given our vote ahead of Night Orbit and Gonebeyondrecall. The pick hails from the powerful Paul Nicholls team and step up markedly on his debut to land maiden at Newton Abbot last time out. He finished over six lengths ahead of a subsequent winner that day and when he is given a rating it should be well above that currently carried by his nearest rival. That rival is Night Orbit, who has taken life well over timber having only been fair at best on the level. His three runs in this sphere show two runners-up spots and a victory, which came last time out in an above average maiden. He should be in the mix but the selection looks to have a bit more class. Gonebeyondrecall crosses the Irish sea to make a raid on this prize and he showed his best for some time with a good run to claim second place ahead of a few fair types last time out and should challenge again. Starr Flyer is the only other to really consider after a solid run in handicap company on his last run but he looks to have something to find on the selection Quell The Storm.
