In depth

Verdict

NORDIC COMBINED’s latest second at Kelso was another solid effort and 3lb claimer Fergus Gillard gets on best with David Pipe’s seven-year-old. Roar looks a danger having returned to winning ways at Fakenham last month but Vision Clear has gone backwards. Cotton End keeps popping up when least expected, however, while Caddyhill has won two of his last three. State Crown got off the mark at Newton Abbot in April but there is no guarantee that the cheekpieces will work a second time.
