In depth

Verdict

Eddiemaurice has to be held up and will need plenty of luck in-running in a field of this size with the going also probably quicker than ideal. Goobinator is another who would have preferred more give in the ground while Mick Maestro has struggled in the second half of the season having been raised in the weights. Tomorrow Mystery had wind surgery after failing to land the odds at Taunton in November and showed the benefit in a bumper at Kempton in February. He’s shot up the weights but has a good strike-rate. Native Fighter has been a good servant to Jimmy Moffatt but he is better when the sun is shining. Camprond needs to brush up his jumping but the Taunton maiden winner has bags of scope while Bold Enough definitely enters calculations after a pipe-opener at Downpatrick. The Widdow Maker arrives on a hat-trick but COPPERLESS only had to be pushed out to make a winning return to action and there looked to be plenty more in the locker.
