In depth

Verdict

The opening race of the evening is quite a decent novice hurdle with a competitive look to it but hopefully PROMISING ANSHAN can go in ahead of Mostly Bob and Araldur. The selection won very nicely on his latest start beating a decent horse that has since franked the form. That is probably the best form on offer in today's race and he looks to be improving so with a good five lbs claimer further enhancing his chances I expect a big win. Mostly Bob is another horse on the up but his form is just below that of the selections. He is on the up though and represents a powerful trainer/jockey combination so he must be monitored. Araldeur is a classy type over fences as his lofty rating of 152 suggests. He is certainly the best horse in the race but we feel connections are using this race as a confidence booster and he must also overcome a lengthy absence. Others to note are Worth A King's, Gandalfe and the former useful flat horse Murcar but it is Promising Anshan for us.
