In depth

Formwatch

Cenkos (FR) Two mile specialist who may find the extra distance against him at this level; others preferred.

Direct Route (IRE) On a hat-trick in this event and is pounds better here than anywhere else. Despite the fact that he hasn't shown his best so far this term he is sure to give supporters a good run for their money.

Fadalko (FR) Runner-up to Flagship Uberalles in the Tingle Creek but overall balance of form leaves him with something to find; still will appeal as an each-way possible to many.

Flagship Uberalles (IRE) Lightly campaigned this season with the Champion Chase as his target; now this represents the seasonal goal and he looks sure to make a bold bid against regular opponents. Sure to take all the beating.

Satchmo (IRE) Improving handicapper, but it would be a major surprise to see him in the frame in this company.

Tiutchev Murdered his rivals last time in softer race but well capable of mixing it with the best as he's proved in the past; sure to have his supporters but has a few pounds to find with the selection.

Lady Cricket (FR) Enigmatic ex-French mare who has made up into a top class handicapper but may be taken off her feet here by speedier opponents.

Edredon Bleu (FR) High class performer and still the Champion Chaser; hard to rule out in any circumstances and renews rivalry with regular adversaries Direct Route and Flagship Uberalles..

Eskleybrook Fair handicap chaser but outclassed in this company.
