If Toulon's injury problems are so bad they shouldn't bother turning up for Sunday's Champions Cup quarter-final, says Dimitri Szarzewski.

Toulon travel to Paris for Sunday's quarter-final against Racing 92 as they bid to keep their bid for an unprecedented fourth consecutive European title on track.

While Toulon president Mourad Boudjellal downplayed his injury-plagued side's chances, hooker Szarzewski dismissed it as mind games.

"If he thinks that they shouldn't come," he said. "We'll win against the odds.

"Toulon are (triple) reigning European champions and have experienced players. We know what to expect - a big physical challenge against players capable of making the difference.

"We have to play the perfect match if we want to stay alive. Even if we're hosting we're not the favourites. Toulon showed two weeks ago [with victory over Racing at Lille] that they can win anywhere with their second or third team."

Racing's forwards coach Laurent Travers added: "You just have to look at Toulon's European Cup experience. Of course we're not favourites, we're the underdogs.
