Simon Zebo has ended speculation about his future by signing a new two-year deal with Munster.

The Corkman was heavily linked with a move to the Top 14, with Pau thought to be leading the race for his signature, but will now remain with Munster until at least June 2018.

The 25-year-old winger follows in the footsteps of Irish international team-mates Keith Earls and Conor Murray by committing his future to the province, after the duo signed three-year extensions last week.

Zebo, who has made 96 appearances for Munster, recently equalled Anthony Horgan's record of 41 tries when he scored against Stade Francais at Thomond Park and he has finished as the province's leading try scorer for the past four seasons.

Commenting on the deal, head coach Anthony Foley said, "It's great to have even more good news on the contract front today.

"Simon's record speaks for itself and keeping a player with his experience and versatility is key to our plans going forward so we are delighted that he has committed his future to Munster."
