Former Munster back-rower Alan Quinlan was left stunned by Munster's poor performance against Stade Francais.
For the second year in a row, the Irish province will not be in the Champions Cup play-offs after they were beaten 27-7 by Stade - who played the second half with 14 men.
"I am trying to think of words to sum it up [Munster's performance]," said Quinlan on Sky Sports.
"Embarrassing, disgraceful, humiliating - all those words come to mind.
When a team plays with no spirit, no heart and no passion then that really upsets me, it drives me demented.
"Munster have no divine right to win these games but this is embarrassing and this whole organisation needs to be dissected now. They need to look at the structure from the top to the bottom and figure out what is going wrong.
"They are lacking a bit of talent - there is no doubt about that - but when a team plays with no spirit, no heart and no passion then that really upsets me. As it does all the Munster fans who follow them all over Europe.
"It was borderline disgraceful - maybe it's a bit extreme to say that performance was disgraceful, but guys falling off tackles, no desire, no structure and no shape - and it was really upsetting stuff."
