Edinburgh have moved Friday's Challenge Cup fixture against defending champions Stade Francais to Murrayfield.

The game had been scheduled for Myreside but Edinburgh says the pitch needs further time to recover.

A club statement read: "Pitch protection work has been ongoing at Myreside following last weekend's 37-7 win over Southern Kings.

"However, due to the extraordinary weather circumstances over the past week and during the match against the Southern Kings itself, it has been decided the pitch needs further time to sufficiently recover.

"This weekend's match presents an opportunity to secure a place in the quarter-finals, so after relevant consultation, it was agreed that the move to Murrayfield provided the best possible surface on which to perform."

Edinburgh beat Stade Francais 28-23 at Murrayfield in last season's Challenge Cup, although the Parisians returned to lift the trophy at the same venue after defeating Gloucester in the final.
