Saracens have signed former London Irish back Andrew Fenby on a short-term contract.

Fenby has signed a three-month deal with the European champions, who last month lost England wing Chris Ashton to a 13-week suspension.

The 30-year-old can operate in Ashton's role or at full-back and will provide cover as Sarries enter a busy period od Premiership and European fixtures.

Director of rugby Mark McCall said: "With a number of injuries and suspensions to our back line we are very happy to bring a player of Andrew's talent into the group.
