Saracens have signed Scotland international second-row forward Kieran Low from Glasgow Warriors on loan for the rest of the season.

The 24-year-old, who joined the Pro12 champions from London Irish in the summer, has played three times for the Warriors but has not featured since early October.

Low made 43 appearances for London Irish in the Aviva Premiership and has won five caps for Scotland. He has also represented England at U18 and U20 level.

Saracens director of rugby, Mark McCall: "We are delighted to be able to bring in a player of Kieran's calibre at this point of the season.

"He is an international quality lock forward who has plenty of Premiership experience. With a few injuries and the expectancy that we will lose a few second row forwards during the Six Nations we are very happy to be able to bring Kieran into the group."

Low will add depth to the Saracens forward unit where he will compete with club captain Alistair Hargreaves, England international George Kruis, Jim Hamilton and Maro Itoje. Hargreaves and Kruis have struggled with injury in recent weeks.

Glasgow Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend said: "This is a good opportunity for Kieran to get game time in the Aviva Premiership and we wish him all the best at Saracens."
