Danny Cipriani has announced he is leaving Wasps for a second time at the end of the season.

The 30-year-old fly-half, who has 14 England caps, will call time on a two-year spell at the Premiership club.

The announcement follows reports on Monday that Cipriani may look to finish his playing career in Japan.

The Roehampton-born back progressed through the Wasps academy as a youth, and enjoyed a four-year spell in the seniors before moving to Australia to play for Melbourne Rebels in 2010.

Posting on his social media, Cipriani said: "Leaving Wasps the first time was hard enough. Now is the time to announce that I'm leaving the club for a second time.

"Sadness will most likely be the overriding emotion, come the end of May. But I'm also hoping, mixed with the sadness, will be a lot of joy as the job isn't finished yet.
