Samoa wing Sailosi Tagicakibau has left Wasps after being released from his contract for family reasons.

The 33-year-old made 34 appearances at Wasps after joining from London Irish in 2014.

Tagicakibau racked up more than 150 appearances for Irish in a nine-year spell, winning 21 caps for Samoa between 2003 and 2011.

"I'd like to thank Losi for the significant contribution he made to the squad during his time with Wasps," said Wasps rugby director Dai Young.

"While professional sport is important, family always comes first and I'm sure I speak on behalf of everyone at the club, and for our Wasps supporters, in wishing Losi and his family the very best."

Wasps' move to Coventry's Ricoh Arena continues to pay dividend both on and off the field, with the Aviva Premiership club strengthening their squad considerably again over the summer.

South Africa full-back Willie Le Roux and Australia utility back Kurtley Beale top the billing, with England fly-half Danny Cipriani also returning to his first club.

Kyle Eastmond's arrival from Bath further strengthens boss Young's hand behind the scrum, all of which will ease any strain from Tagicakibau's departure.
