Wasps have signed young English hooker Tommy Taylor from Sale Sharks.

The 24-year-old will join his new team-mates ahead of the 2016/17 Aviva Premiership season.

Having made his debut for Sale in 2011, Taylor has gone on to make 93 appearances while earning international recognition in England's summer games against the Barbarians in 2014 and 2015.

Wasps' director of rugby Dai Young said: "We are really pleased to be able to add Tommy to the squad for next season.

"He is a really exciting English prospect who has impressed in the Aviva Premiership and in Europe this season with his dynamic physicality. At 24, he is a young front-row forward who has a bright future ahead of him, with huge potential to develop and push his international ambitions."

Taylor, who began his career with Macclesfield in 2010, said: "I am really pleased to have signed a contract with Wasps and I'm really excited by the prospect of linking up with them ahead of the 2016/17 season.
