"I'm very excited to be staying at the club, I owe it a lot for helping me to progress my career and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds here at Gloucester," he told the club's website.

"I want to be involved, week in and week out, getting as much game time as I can so I can further my career and become a better player for the club. Hopefully I can do that over the next couple of years and help achieve success for Gloucester Rugby."

Director of Rugby David Humphreys said the club were delighted to secure Braley's future and wants him to continue to learn from the likes of Greig Laidlaw and Willi Heinz.

"We're very happy that Callum is extending his stay at the club as he's a very exciting player and forms part of what we feel can be a core of young English talent who can take this club forward," he said.

"He's been patient, but he's also ambitious. He's learned a lot from working with the likes of Greig and Willi, but he's now starting to turn his potential into quality match day performances.
