Italy coach Conor O'Shea has made three changes for Saturday's Test against Australia in Brisbane, live on Sky Sports 2 HD from 5.55am.
O'Shea brought in scrum-half Tito Tebaldi to the starting side for the first time in three years, with Andries Van Schalkwyk at No 8 and Marco Lazzaroni in line for a debut off the bench.
The changes follow Italy's loss to Fiji in Suva last weekend, Ben Volavola slotting a last-minute drop-goal to give his side a 22-19 victory.
"We came so close - we should have beaten Fiji on the balance looking back on the game but we know this is a step-up in class," O'Shea said.
"We've a lot of changes to make, we're on a huge growth curve in Italian rugby.
"Changes that should have been made years ago, we're making now with group of young players who are learning a lot, getting better."
