France have lost centre Wesley Fofana for next weekend's Six Nations opener against Italy.
The 28-year-old, who has been capped 39 times, injured his ribs during Clermont's 19-15 defeat to Montpellier on Saturday.
Racing 92 winger Teddy Thomas has been called up to replace Fofana in the 23-man squad for Saturday's clash with the Azzurri at the Stade de France in Paris.
