Ross Moriarty is ready to "do a job" on danger man Louis Picamoles as Wales bid to scramble a second place Six Nations finish with victory in France.
Rob Howley's men stunned Ireland with a gritty 22-9 win in Cardiff on Friday night, fending off the potential ignominy of three consecutive losses for the first time in 10 years.
Wales can leapfrog France with a victory in Paris to close the tournament this weekend, and could even climb to second if England see off Ireland in Dublin to complete their second successive Grand Slam.
Back-rower Moriarty has pinpointed No 8 Picamoles as France's chief threat however, and challenged Wales to shut down the Northampton loose forward.
"I have played against him when he has played for Northampton and he is a huge player for France," said Gloucester back-row forward Moriarty.
"He is very similar to Nathan Hughes for England, one of their main ball carriers. We know if we can stop him on the front foot then we have got a good chance. He is a huge man, a very experienced player; hopefully we can do a job on him."
With a second place finish still up for grabs, Moriarty has insisted Wales will not take the foot off the gas at the Stade de France just because the title is out of reach and dismissed the idea of Saturday's clash feeling like a dead rubber.
"Definitely not. France have got everything to play for in their own back yard and we have got everything to play for," he said.
"If results go our way we could still come second in the championship; it is a big game."
