John Hardie has been ruled out of Scotland’s remaining Six Nations matches against England and Italy with a knee injury.
The Edinburgh back-row picked up the injury less than half an hour into Scotland's 29-13 win over Wales at Murrayfield on Saturday and was replaced by club-mate Hamish Watson.
Scottish Rugby confirmed in a statement that Hardie will be out for "several weeks" after a scan showed he had damaged his medial collateral ligament. The statement also said there are no injury concerns over Tommy Seymour, who was caught in the ribs while scoring Scotland's first try.
"A MRI scan after the game confirmed the player damaged his medial collateral ligament (MCL) and is expected to be out for several weeks. He will take no further part in the championship," the statement said.
"Wing Tommy Seymour sustained a blow to the ribs in the act of scoring but was fine to continue. He is not considered a concern."
Scotland have already lost captain Greig Laidlaw and loose forward Josh Strauss to injury for the remainder of the competition.
Saturday's win over Wales means Vern Cotter's side will travel to England in two weeks' time looking to claim their first Triple Crown in 27 years.
