Vern Cotter has trimmed his Scotland squad for Saturday’s Six Nations clash with Italy, allowing six players to return to Glasgow Warriors.
Glasgow face Dragons in Newport on Thursday in the Guinness PRO12.
Cotter allowed props Gordon Reid and Zander Fagerson, back-row forwards Rob Harley and Josh Strauss, and half backs Grayson Hart and Duncan Weir to return to club training on Wednesday with a view to featuring in that game.
Scotland will travel to Rome on Thursday and Cotter is expected to announce a final 23-man squad for the match against Italy on Thursday morning.
