Sky Sports pundit Will Greenwood is convinced England head coach Eddie Jones will be focused solely on the next World Cup.

Jones, who has won his first nine international matches since taking over from Stuart Lancaster as England coach, has hinted he may leave if he leads England to victory in Japan,

The Australian has conceded he would be keen to pursue other challenges if he can match the achievement of Sir Clive Woodward, who coached England to World Cup glory in 2003.

But Greenwood is convinced Jones will not be thinking about life after 2019 as he continues to mould a team capable of winning the top prize in world rugby following their disappointing display on home soil last year.

"He will work exhaustively until 2019 and he has had health issues down the years, although he is fighting fit now," Greenwood, a World Cup winner himself 13 years ago, said of Jones on Sky Sports News HQ.

"If he wins the World Cup, he can do what he wants. What [the RFU] will want from him is advice on who is coming up next, what the legacy is.

"One of the regrets about 2003 when it didn't go so well afterwards was off the field, when Clive out with the RFU.

Sky's Stuart Barnes gives his reaction, as Jones picks six uncapped players in a 33-man squad for the four autumn internationals

"Since then there has been a conveyor belt [of head coaches]…and it has never been clear what exactly the long-term plan is.

"He has no loyalties to anyone because he has come up from Australia, he hasn't played the political game to get where he has got."

Greenwood feels English rugby overall is in a good shape with progress coming in a number of areas on and off the pitch.

Jones praises Tom Wood - but won't rule out a return to No. 7 for Chris Robshaw

"England's Women are world cup champions; the U20s are world champions; England's senior men's team are No 2 in the world with nine straight wins, the Grand Slam and a 3-0 series win in Australia, so things are pretty rosy," he added.

"We could always want more, we always want better facilities, but I think rugby is in a pretty rude state of health.

"No one at Twickenham is taking the junior end of the game for granted and focusing purely on England."
