Eddie Jones' tenure as England coach has been delayed due to visa issues.
Jones was due to start at Twickenham on Tuesday, December 1, but is still in Japan dealing with the visa paperwork that will allow him to work in the UK.
Australian Jones becomes England's first foreign head coach, taking over from Stuart Lancaster after a dismal 2015 Rugby World Cup campaign that saw the hosts fail to reach the knockout stages.
His first job will be to sort out his coaching staff with the future of Lancaster's deputies - Andy Farrell, Mike Catt and Graham Rowntree - uncertain.
Reports suggest that the RFU have already approached Bristol about recruiting forwards coach Steve Borthwick, who worked as the Japan forwards coach under Jones during their successful World Cup campaign.
England start their Six Nations campaign in just seven weeks' time with a tricky trip to Murrayfield to take on Scotland and as well as sorting out his coaching staff, Jones will need to pick his Elite Player Squad and a captain.
