Sharks' teenage back Curwin Bosch has been included in the South Africa squad for a training camp next week.
The 19-year-old fly-half or full-back has made only a handful of Super Rugby appearances but is highly rated in South Africa, and has impressed for the Durban-based Sharks.
Coach Allister Coetzee called up 41 players for the second of three camps he is planning to get the Springboks ready for a three-Test series against France in June.
The Springboks and Coetzee are under scrutiny after stumbling through the worst season in their history last year, losing eight of 12 Tests - including a record defeat to New Zealand and a first ever loss to Italy.
Coetzee kept his job after surviving a performance review.
There are no players from the Bulls or the Kings in the three-day camp as those two franchises have Super Rugby commitments in Australasia.
As with the first camp, there are also no overseas-based players included among the squad, while second rower Franco Mostert is unavailable as his wife is due to give birth to their first child.
One glaring omission from the squad is Lions scrum-half Faf de Klerk, who helped the Boks to a series win over Ireland in June last year, and featured in all but one of Coetzee's 12 Tests in charge.
Injured Springboks Pat Lambie, Uzair Cassiem and Ruan Combrinck have been invited to the camp, but injured pair Damian de Allende and Jean-Luc du Plessis, who made the trip to the previous camp in Johannesburg, are not required.
