Sean Fitzpatrick is back with his favourite bone-crunching hits from round three of Super Rugby.

The All Blacks legend has cast his eye over a thrilling round of action, during which the defending champions suffered their first loss and the Highlanders registered their first win.

The Hurricanes were beaten by the Chiefs in Hamilton, where Mitchell Brown stopped Ngani Laumape in his tracks and Dominic Bird unsettled TJ Perenara.

The big hits on scrum-halves continued in Durban as Jean-Luc du Preez stopped Nick Phipps from sniping through a gap, while Duncan Paia'aua welcomed Digby Ioane back to Brisbane with a shuddering tackle.

The Cheetahs overcame the Sunwolves in Bloemfontein and there was a big collision between the No 13s, Ryno Benjamin and William Tupou.
