Gloucester coach expects Tindall and Vainikolo to be fit for England

Gloucester coach believes both Mike Tindall and Lesley Vainikolo will be fit for England's RBS Six Nations opener against Wales on February 2. Centre Tindall suffered bruised ribs during his side's 18-17 win over Wasps, while Vainikolo was forced to pull out the clash with a knee injury. However, Ryan is confident that Tindall will be cleared to team up with England ahead of the visit of Wales. He said: "I don't think it is something to be overly concerned about." And Ryan believes Vainikolo will be fine, adding: "There is no reason to see why he won't be 100 per cent for next week." Ryan saw six Ryan Lamb penalties earn his side an 18-3 lead before tries from James Buckland and Dominic Waldouck set up a tense finale. And the Gloucester chief was disappointed that his side let Wasps back into the match.

Physically

"We built an 18-3 lead, the Wasps upped their game physically," said Ryan. "We didn't build a lead that was too big to bridge." Despite suffering their fifth Premiership defeat of the season, Wasps director of rugby Ian McGeechan believes his side will still be in the mix for the play-offs. Wasps have a mixed campaign, but are only eight points behind fourth-placed Sale Sharks at the halfway point in the season. And McGeechan has complete faith that his side can turn things around. He said: "We can make the top four, without a doubt. "But we will have to play like we played today every week. We didn't do a lot wrong - we just didn't finish the job." Wasps were missing the likes of Eoin Reddan and Simon Shaw - but coach Shaun Edwards felt his side deserved more than just a losing bonus point. He said: "We had eight internationals missing today, but we we scored two tries to nil. "Sometimes, you don't get what you deserve in life."
