England have added Nathan Hughes to the squad that will prepare for Sunday's clash with the Barbarians at Twickenham, live on Sky Sports.
Hughes made his comeback from the knee injury sustained in the Six Nations during Wasps' Premiership semi-final defeat at Saracens and, with his club season now over, he has been included in a 35-man party named by head coach Eddie Jones.
It raises the prospect of the Fiji-born No 8 being added to the senior squad that will tour South Africa next month.
Hughes' Wasps team-mate Jack Willis is omitted from the 35 after hyper-extending his knee at Allianz Park on Saturday and, while England have yet to rule him out, his prospects of being involved against the Springboks appear bleak.
Danny Cipriani is present alongside Elliot Daly, Dan Robson and Joe Launchbury, who also started the rout by Saracens.
Jones named a total of 13 uncapped players for the fixture which is a part of England's preparation ahead of the three-match Test series against South Africa in June.
England will play South Africa in three Tests in Johannesburg on June 9, Bloemfontein on June 16 and Cape Town on June 23.
