South Africa prop Julian Redelinghuys has been ruled out for six weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in Saturday's 30-23 Rugby Championship victory over Argentina.

He suffered the injury in the first half of Saturday's thrilling win in Nelspruit.

"Losing Julian is a massive blow to us because it comes at a time when he is playing really good rugby," Springbok coach Allister Coetzee said. "Vincent Koch did extremely well when he came on as replacement, and Julian's injury now presents him with an ideal opportunity."

Prop Lourens Adriaanse, drafted into the squad as cover last week, will travel to Argentina for next week's match in Salta, along with Trevor Nyakane, who was left out of the first match because of injury concerns.
