O’Gara: The better team won

Racing 92 skills coach Ronan O'Gara said he does not have any complaints after seeing his side beaten by Saracens in the Champions Cup final.

Saracens controlled possession and territory to land seven penalties to Racing's three in torrential rain at the Grand Stade de Lyon

O'Gara, who has tasted European glory with Munster, said that Saracens fully deserved their victory after besting his side in many facets of the game.

The former fly-half also singled our Saracens No 10 Owen Farrell who not only nailed all his kicks at goal, but also put huge pressure on Racing with his tactical kicking.

O'Gara also said it was touch and go whether Dan carter would play or not after suffering calf problems all week but admitted that even at 60 per cent, the All Black legend offers so much.

The poor conditions did not suit Racing's offloading game but O'Gara said that they would have learnt so much from their first Champions Cup final and will come back stronger.
