Former England forward Brian Moore is recovering in hospital after suffering a heart attack.
The 55-year-old Birmingham-born hooker, who made 64 international appearances between 1987 and 1995, is currently in St George's Hospital, London.
Moore used his Twitter account to reveal: "As this is starting to get out. I'm in ICU of St George's having suffered heart attack. Thanks to the professionals who saved my life."
Moore, who spent many of his early years in Halifax and later became a solicitor, was a member of the England team beaten by Australia in the final of the 1991 Rugby World Cup.
Nicknamed 'Pitbull', Moore was part of three Grand Slam winning teams - in 1991, 92 and 95 - and also represented the British & Irish Lions.
