Bristol coach Richard Hill is expecting a backlas from Toulon in the European Challenge Cup.
Toulon, who have spent big on their recruitment policy, were thrashed by Northampton in their opening match of the tournament.
However, Hill is expecting a much tougher proposition at the Memorial Ground on Friday.
Hill said: "Toulon have invested in a lot of stars, but for some unknown reason last week against Northampton, they decided to put out 'les espoirs', the hopefuls, and Northampton whipped them by 50 points.
"The (Toulon) president has obviously been a bit upset about that this week, and it looks as though they're bringing their full side.
"They do have some great individuals, yet haven't quite gelled as a team in the Top 14, but they have to be respected."
Hill has named a new-look pack for the clash with only No.8 Iain Grieve surviving from the defeat to Montpellier.
Alex Clarke, Mark Regan, Jason Hobson, Roy Winters, Nathan Budgett, Alfie To'oala and captain Joe El Abd all return to bolster the forwards.
There is also a change in the centres, with Neil Brew and Ed Barnes pairing up, while Graeme Beveridge will wear the No.9 shirt.
Toulon will look to bounce back from their heavy defeat to Northampton by naming a stronger-looking XV to face Bristol.
Former All Black Jerry Collins will captain the side, which has 11 changes in it.
Also in the forwards Anthony Muleta, Alessio Galasso, Esteban Lozada, Olivier Missoup and Sisaro Koyamaibole are called up.
In the backs, former Australian rugby league international Luke Rooney starts on the wing, while much-travelled Italian fly-half is handed the No.10 jersey.
Also in the backs Orene Ai'i, Sébastien Fauque and Norman Jordaan come in.
