Hull KR coach Tim Sheens says his side's 38-6 victory over Huddersfield will send a warning to the rest of Super League.
The Robins ran in six unanswered tries after falling behind early on at the John Smith's Stadium to post their first away win of the season and climb out of the bottom four.
"It was crucial to get back on the rails," said Sheens, whose side had won just one of their first five games on their return to Betfred Super League.
"The competition would have looked ugly with one win and the for and against will help us as well.
"This will put sides on notice that we're not an easy beat. We've finally come up with a half-back combination and we're starting to move forward."
Huddersfield, who had an opportunity of their own to move into the top eight, went in front with Oliver Roberts' eighth-minute try but were then outplayed by the visitors, with winger Ryan Shaw scoring 22 points from two tries and seven goals from as many attempts.
"We were still scratchy for a while but we led well at half-time on the back of 100 per cent completion," Sheens said after the match.
"I don't think I've ever coached a side with 100 per cent completion in a half of football. Our offence operated tonight which is about time.
"In the conditions, I thought we played well with ball in hand and scrambled well in the second half when, had they got a sniff, it might have been tighter. This has been in us. Sometimes things click and they did for us tonight."
Australian centre Andrew Heffernan scored Rovers' first try and created two others but the lasting memory will be a long-range try from second rower James Greenwood, who supported a spectacular break by prop Robbie Mulhern.
"He's got back row speed," said Sheens of Mulhern. "He's a kid with a big future with the club.
"I'm not pushing him to England just yet but he's got the ability to push for it in the next two years."
Huddersfield coach Rick Stone had to reshuffle his side before kick-off after losing full-back Jake Mamo with a hamstring strain but did not use his absence as an excuse for his team's emphatic defeat.
"It's frustrating and disappointing, I'm a bit angry," he reflected following the full-time whistle.
"For a start I've got to give full credit to the opposition, who didn't make an error in the first half and defended well in the second half.
"They rolled us down the field pretty comfortably in the first half. We weren't good enough. When you're playing in front of your own fans and your family, you've got to turn up and put in a better performance than that.
"We tried to go around them and it wasn't a night for going around them. We needed to mix things up a bit. Maybe the boys need a couple of days away to freshen up a bit."
