Prop forward Dane Tilse has agreed a new one-year deal at Hull KR.

The 30-year-old Australian vowed to get the Championship side "back where they belong" after becoming the 20th player to commit their future to the club.

The former junior Australia international, who also made over 200 appearances in the NRL with Canberra Raiders, outlined his plans to achieve Hull KR's targets of getting back to the top.

"I really want to play my part in getting this club back up into Super League where they belong," he said.

"The hard work begins in pre-season training on Monday, so I'm looking forward to getting stuck in with the lads and meeting a few new faces."

Tilse, who has played 48 games for the club over the last 18 months, is one of several players who accepted a reduced contract.

Hull KR head coach Tim Sheens believes the Australian's presence throughout the season will be huge both on and off the pitch.

"We'll come up against some tough and physical forward packs in the Championship and Dane's experience and leadership around the ruck will be a big asset for us," he said.

"He's a good character to have off the field too and he's shown that by wanting to come back on board and help the club get back into Super League."
