Salford have been ordered to appear in front of Rugby Football League tribunal to answer a charge of misconduct.
The Red Devils have been charged with breaching RFL operational rules following a crowd disturbance at the end of their 26-24 First Utility Super League win over Huddersfield at the John Smith's Stadium on Easter Monday.
Salford players Justin Carney and Junior Sa'u entered the crowd after the final whistle to protect their families caught up in fighting among the Red Devils fans and police were called to the scene.
An RFL spokesman said: "Clubs are responsible for the actions of its spectators and must also ensure that their spectators, or people purporting to be their supporters, do not act in a disorderly or improper manner."
The RFL say a hearing date will be set for either late June or early July.
Owner Marwan Koukash at the time apologised for the behaviour of Salford fans and vowed to take action against those involved in the ugly scenes.
Salford are also awaiting a date for their appeal against a six-point deduction for breaching the Super League salary cap.
