Leeds will look to bounce back from their World Club Challenge disappointment when they host Harlequins.
The Rhinos went down 18-10 to Melbourne last Sunday at Elland Road having lost in the same event to Manly 12 months ago.
As well as losing the game, the reigning Super League champions also lost skipper Kevin Sinfield to a leg injury that he suffered in the first half.
The England international has missed just four matches for the club in the last three seasons but will be sidelined for the game on Friday night.
Plumber called
Leeds coach Brian McClennan has called up academy winger Tom Bush to his 19-man squad to plug the gap left by Sinfield's absence.
The 20-year-old is an apprentice plumber by trade and has had to ask his dad John for permission to get time off to train with the first team squad.
"We have drafted Tom into the 19-man squad this week to give him the experience of training full time with the first team squad," McClennan said.
"He played on Boxing Day and he has impressed as he has come through our academy system.
"He was our Junior Academy Player of the Year in 2008 when he played predominantly at full back but he played on the wing all last season for the reserve academy so he has versatility in his game."
Harlequins make the trip up north with plenty of injury problems of their own.
Stand-off Luke Dorn and skipper Rob Purdham are both still some way from returning to action after both suffered shoulder injuries in pre-season.
The duo have been joined in the treatment room by back-rower Ryan Esders (broken hand), while Matt James has left the club this week after his two-year contract was cancelled by mutual consent.
Coach Brian McDermott handed Martyn Smith his debut in the defeat at Hull last time out and he has been retained in a 19-man squad.
There is also a place in the travelling party for new signing Kyle Bibb, the forward having joined on loan from Super League rivals Wakefield.
Pulling together
Despite winning just one of their first four outings in 2010, stand-off Danny Orr insists the Londoners are not "a million miles away".
"We're all pulling together and working hard," he said.
"We're a couple of men down but we're not a million miles away from the result that will give us a kick and get us going; hopefully that will come on Friday.
"A new player coming in always gives the squad a boost. I've played against Kyle a few times; he's a big strong lad and will help us."
Leeds squad: Webb, Delaney, Senior, Hall, McGuire, Burrow, Leuluai, Buderus, Peacock, Jones-Buchanan, Lauitiiti, Diskin, Eastwood, Bailey, Kirke, Burgess, Pitts, Watkins, Bush.
Harlequins squad: Bibb, Bolger, Bryan, Clubb, Golden, Howell, Jones-Bishop, Krasniqi, McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Melling, O'Callaghan, Orr, Randall, Sharp, Smith, Ward, Wilkes, Williams, Williamson.
