Huddersfield Giants heaped further misery on injury-hit Harlequins with an eight-try rout at the Galpharm Stadium.
Academy product Jermaine McGillvary grabbed the headlines with his third brace in only his fourth start as Huddersfield strolled to a 40-4 win in front of their home fans.
The Huddersfield-born winger opened and finished the scoring with Kevin Brown, Simon Finnigan, Michael Lawrence, Scott Grix, David Hodgson and Danny Brough all touching down in between.
Quins' only points on a miserable afternoon in West Yorkshire came courtesy of Australian Luke Dorn's 39th minute try.
It took the Giants, who were looking to avenge last week's heartbreaking last-minute loss to Leeds, only three minutes to open the scoring as 22-year-old McGillvary continued his rich vein of form.
Error
Brown then doubled Huddersfield's lead to 8-0 with a solo run before McGillvary showed his value at the other end with a try-saving tackle on Andy Ellis.
Quins finally got off the mark, though, on the stroke of half-time when a misplaced pass from Giants veteran Brad Drew was intercepted by Dorn, who then raced away to the line.
However Huddersfield responded emphatically, scoring four tries in 11 second half minutes to condemn second bottom Quins to a seventh defeat in nine Super League games.
Brown put Finnigan in for a try on 44 minutes, Lawrence went over just two minutes later, and then Drew made up for his earlier error by putting Grix through on 52.
Full-back Grix turned provider three minutes later as Hodgson crossed for his 22nd Super League try of the season and his 600th career point.
Quins, fielding a side featuring only one overseas player for the third consecutive week, rarely got a look-in in the second half as the Giants turned the screw.
Brough, who added four conversions, dived over for a try on his 250th career appearance on 63 minutes before McGillvary completed the scoring late on.
