Wakefield cruised into the fifth round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup with a comfortable away win over Doncaster.
John Kear's side triumphed in the all-Yorkshire contest and in particular killed the game off in the final moments of the match.
The Wildcats had an early scare when utility man Jack Ely was held up on the line after a good spell of pressure, but the visitors soon found their feet and were ahead with seven minutes gone.
Wakefield camped deep in the Doncaster half following a penalty and Kyle Amor weaved his way through a static Dons defence to touch down.
But Josh Veivers failed to add to that lead when he skewed his conversion.
The Super League side added a second try four minutes later to maintain their dominance.
Team try
Josh Griffin crossed the line from the wing following a great team try and this time Veivers made no mistake as he made it 10-0 for the West Yorkshire side.
Scott Spaven gave Wakefield something to think about when the forward broke through to narrow the gap to 10-4, as the away side lost a little bit of discipline.
In a sloppy few moments for Wakefield, they regained control when Aaron Murphy burst through from the centre to score.
Doncaster had a lack of discipline themselves as they gifted a penalty just before half-time and Veivers converted from 20 metres, stretching the lead to 18-4.
The Dons had a much brighter start to the second-half and came back with three minutes gone when a perfectly-weighted chip from Spaven, followed by a quick interchange of passes between Mick Butterfield and Kyle Kesik sent winger Stewart Sanderson on his way to touch down.
Deficit
Aaron Dobek reduced the deficit to eight points with a conversion.
Wakefield hit back in the 51st minute when Kevin Henderson collected another cross-field kick from Hyde to bag an uncoverted try with the score now looking more favourable for the away side at 22-10.
Trinity then took command and ran in another five tries, including Griffin and Dale Morton going over and Veivers goaling.
Chris Dean found himself on the scorers' list alongside his fellow Wakefield team-mates with ten minutes to spare, Hyde raced under the posts and Veivers added a couple more to kill off a spirited Doncaster side.
