Laith Alareen is on a four-timer and Eeh Bah Gum found only one too good when seeking a fifth straight win at Haydock but both may be in the handicapper’s grip now and this is a wide-open finale featuring a host of in-form sprinters. Harrogate has the pace to get involved dropped in trip with blinkers applied while a case can also be made for Machree. CAMEO STAR gets a tentative vote as he is a stone better off than when beaten just over two lengths by Eeh Bah Gum at Catterick in June and has run well against older horses since.
