Barefoot Lady found life tough in the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket a fortnight ago and though this is easier, it's been over a year since she last won. Mid Mon Lady has solid claims having been beaten only a length in Listed company in France last time but Momentary flopped in the Ribblesdale at Ascot having beaten Shirocco Star and the re-opposing Firdaws at Newbury before that. It's still too soon to write her off, however, while Gathering is less exposed than Dragonera who was still beaten over three lengths when runner-up in similar company last time. Smart two-year-old Elas Diamond has her first start since 2010 and a punt is taken on EMIRATES QUEEN. She has plenty to find on official ratings having won a Doncaster maiden last month but an entry in the Group 1 Sun Chariot later in the year suggests she's thought capable of holding her own at this level.
