In depth

Verdict

Dark Shot finished a close second for the third successive time at Catterick on Wednesday and was engaged in the 6.30 here last night. Tom Scudamore has picked up a nice ride on Soul Seeker, who loves fast ground and is up just 3lb for scoring at Hamilton. Paul Midgley is mob-handed here and JAMES WATT arrives in excellent form, scoring at Ripon last month and on this track a couple of weeks ago. Brian Hughes gets the ride and his mount looks set for another victory. The stable also run the consistent Nibras Again, only beaten a short-head at Newmarket last time, plus recent Doncaster winner Mid Winster. Ventura Express is another from the yard with a chance under Daryl Jacob while Bryony Frost would be a popular winner on Ginger Jam.
