Plenty of collateral form to consider but this is more about who will come good on the day. TIMES UP chose to do just that in last year's renewal with Simenon, Askar Tau and Glen's Diamond all well beaten and it would be no surprise if Ed Dunlop's charge ran up to the same level this time round. He was eased down in the closing stages of the Ascot Gold Cup on his latest outing when Simenon finished runner-up and the latter has leading claims on that effort although Ahzeemah is the most consistent horse in the race. The Godolphin four-year-old found Brown Panther too good in the Goodwood Cup earlier this month but had a few of these behind including stablemate Colour Vision and Caucus. The last-named is another with a shout if bouncing back to his best judged on an earlier second in the Sagaro Stakes to subsequent Ascot Gold Cup heroine Estimate.

Askar Tau (FR) 33-1 (9-7) Held up towards rear, ridden over 3f out, never dangerous, 10th of 14, 12l behind Brown Panther (9-7) at Goodwood 2m Grp 2 (1) gd.
Caucus 5-1 (9-7) Mid-division, headway over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong, 9th of 14, 10l behind Brown Panther (9-7) at Goodwood 2m Grp 2 (1) gd.
Colour Vision (FR) 8-1 (9-7) Held up mid-division, ridden and headway over 2f out, no extra inside final furlong, 7th of 14, 8l behind Brown Panther (9-7) at Goodwood 2m Grp 2 (1) gd.
Glen's Diamond 33-1 (9-7) Held up mid-division, weakened over 2f out, 13th of 14, 26l behind Brown Panther (9-7) at Goodwood 2m Grp 2 (1) gd.
Simenon (IRE) 5-1 (9-2) Held up towards rear, headway on outside over 2f out, chased leading pair over 1f out, chased winner and edged right inside final furlong, stayed on well, always just held, 2nd of 14, nk behind Estimate (8-11) at Royal Ascot 2m 4f Grp 1 (1) gf in Jun.
Times Up 11-1 (9-2) Held up towards rear, ridden on outside and struggling over 2f out, never a factor, tailed off, 13th of 14, 35l behind Estimate (8-11) at Royal Ascot 2m 4f Grp 1 (1) gf in Jun.
