Three-year-olds have won six of the last nine renewals. Irish-trained runners have a good record and Tony Martin will be hoping for a big run from Dark Crusader, who won the Melrose Handicap here a year ago and finished runner-up in a Group 3 at Cork last time. Dermot Weld's STARLET had little to beat at Leopardstown but did it in the style of a Pattern Race performer. A daughter of Sea The Stars, she has the potential to do much better and is taken to take the step-up in grade in her stride. Arabian Comet stepped into Group company at Goodwood and did well to finish runner-up to Missunited with Waila just behind. The latter has a chance of turning the tables over this shorter trip and at the revised weights and is suggested as the main threat. Momentus, mid-division in the Oaks at Epsom, made all for an easy maiden success at Nottingham and is progressing well enough to get involved.
