Verdict

Doncaster Rover has had 36 starts and won a Listed race here in August but he's never run beyond 7f, though he's generally not stopping over that trip and might be suited. Saamidd, beaten a nose in a Listed contest at Kempton, ran a shocker when fancied to go one better over 7f here later. Tullius has been a revelation since moving to Andrew Balding and getting the soft ground he needs. He has a penalty to carry for his Listed success at Windsor but looks capable of better though DANCE AND DANCE will prove very difficult to beat. Ed Vaughan's charge progressed from handicaps to run very well in Group 1 company in the USA last season and returned from a spell in Dubai to run Side Glance close in the Group 3 Diomed at Epsom on Oaks Day. He's won on soft ground and can take care of the three-year-olds Ptolemaic, who disappointed in the Dante here, and Rockinante, beaten in two Group 3s in April.
