Verdict

Balakheri, looked ready for a step up in class when demolishing a big field in the infamous Swaffham Handicap at the Craven meeting. Whether this is a step too far, remains to be seen, but he is not to be underestimated. Stable companion Right Approach should strip fitter for his outing at Sandown and will be suited by this faster ground, while Bollin Eric showed he was going the right way, when a staying on third in the Listed Fielden Stakes at Newmarket, although the form has been let down since. Hills Of Gold is interesting and runs here instead of an easier option in the Glasgow Stakes tomorrow. The winner of a maiden last back end, he needs to improve, but his dam won the Italian Oaks and this step up in trip should suit. Moon Ballad, didn't impress with his attitude last time and holds Bit Of Luck, on that running, so this looks best left to Sir George Turner. He turned in a sound effort at Chester, but having come with what looked a winning run, appeared not to go through with his effort. He wears blinkers in this and that could be the making of him.
