Trainer Mark Johnston could hold all the aces here as he sends to post Swift Sailor, Contact Dancer and Golden Quest who all look to have strong claims and the vote is given to Swift Sailor. The selection ran well over an inadequate trip last time at Musselburgh when third behind Far Pavillions. He had previously run well when a close second behind Anak Pekan in the Chester Cup. He tackles this trip for the first time today which will suit, and this lightly-raced 4-year-old who remains unexposed should take plenty of beating. Stablemate Golden Quest has a similar profile in that he is unexposed and a thorough stayer. He may have to play second fiddle to Swift Sailor today but he is not without a chance. Contact Dancer finished behind Swift Sailor in the Chester Cup but this track will suit and so will the trip. He is part of a strong hand for his trainer in this race and these three could all be capable of making the frame. Mr Ed has certainly improved with age and he returns to the level after a spell over hurdles. He will need to be produced from the off-the-pace but he will see out every yard of this trip and he looks capable of making the frame. Coconut Beach could be interesting if there is a strong gallop as that will bring out the best in him. He put up a fair effort in the Chester Cup last time and as that was only his fourth run he is sure to benefit from the experience. Dr Sharp would have claims if the rain arrived as he is most effective when there is plenty of cut in the ground, but Swift Sailor has looked like one to stay on the right side of and he is put forward as the one to beat.
