This has been run seven times and the shortest price winner so far has been 10/1. MONSIEUR JOE was a 25/1 chance when successful a year ago from exactly the same mark as today. He returns from a spell in Dubai, where he ran well without reward, and can complete a long-range double. Judge 'n Jury has run in the last five renewals with form figures of 5-4-1-3-0 and looks to have been primed for another crack after an encouraging reappearance at Leicester. The shock 2011 Prix De L'Abbaye winner Tangerine Trees beat another veteran Borderlescott at Musselburgh but Group 3 company is beyond him these days, as he found out in the Palace House Stakes at Newmarket. Demora usually runs well at this sort of level though drying ground wouldn't aid her cause while the useful and reasonably handicapped See The Sun would also prefer a bit of give. Willbeme won a tough 6f handicap here last June and did very well in two subsequent runs but is a massive 16lb higher while Lexington Abbey hasn't won since Nottingham in July and is up 11lb. David O'Meara has both Out Do and Algar Lad entered but the former was engaged here yesterday so it's the latter who looks the better of the pair as he'll be at home in the conditions.
